Fiera Capital buys wealth management firm from Societe Generale Private Banking

MONTREAL — Fiera Capital Corp. said Thursday it has signed a deal to buy Canadian Wealth Management Group Inc., the Calgary-based subsidiary of Societe Generale Private Banking.Financial terms of the deal were not available.Fiera, which said the deal is expected to be immediately accretive to earnings, has made several acquisitions this year.In February, the company acquired the asset management business of National Bank of Canada in a deal valued at $309.6-million.Fiera shares last traded for $7.55 on the Toronto Stock Exchange.The Canadian Press read more
