Geek deals 299 off on Dell XPS 14z laptop with Adobe Elements

first_imgWhen the Dell XPS 14z was released several months ago, it received near-universal praise (PCMag gave it 4 stars), though some critics thought the price a bit high (for a Dell, anyway). But now that the hype has worn off in favor of all things tablet-related and anything labeled an ultrabook, the price for the 14z is well within reach.Though it retails for $1098.99 (which is still pretty reasonable for the specs), the XPS 14z is now available for $799.99. The 0.9-inch thin laptop is light at 4.4lbs, and sports a trendy aluminum bezel complete with a backlit keyboard. Though it has a 14-inch display, the screen stretches nearly from edge to edge, putting it closer in size to a 13-incher than its 14-inch counterparts. This model includes a dual-core Core i5 CPU, 8GB RAM, and loads of connectivity options including HDMI, USB 2.0 and 3.0, mini DisplayPort, Bluetooth 3.0, and WiDi. (You’ll need to buy an adapter to use the WiDi, though.) The 720p resolution is the only letdown on this laptop – a full HD display would have put this model over the top. Switchable graphics would also make a nice inclusion instead of its basic integrated graphics, but you can opt to upgrade to NVIDIA GeForce GT 520M if it’s an absolute must. This bundle also includes Adobe Elements 9 and $50 gift card to anything on the Dell website, making the $799.99 price point an insanely competitive deal for a high-end laptop, editing software, and basically free money at the Dell store.Check out this deal on LogicBuy.last_img read more
