first_imgThe site of the illegal dump at Doneyloop.Donegal County Council has carried out a clean-up of an illegal dumping site at Fearn Hill, Donnyloop.It follows an article on Donegal Daily earlier this week.The illegal site is cleaned up by Donegal County Council this morning.Residents of the area had contacted us to complain of the illegal dumping. This morning staff of Donegal County Council carried out a clean up of this site.The contents included paper, plastic, cardboard, metal, broken furniture and some food remnants.Donegal County Council have said said these contents will be rigorously checked for any evidence that may identify the person or persons responsible for this illegal activity.This area will be closely monitored over the coming months for any further activity. A spokesman for the council said “We would like to thank Donegal Daily and the community for their support in tackling this illegal activity. Every effort will be made to identify those responsible and they will be pursued for disposing of waste in this way.“We would like to remind members of the public that littering or disposing of waste in this way is illegal and you could face prosecution.
