Huskies shut out at home

first_imgSaturday unfortunately produced the same results. Despite the Huskies outshooting the JDA Kings, Fort St. John suffered a disappointing 5-0 loss to conclude the season series with Grande Prairie. Grande Prairie did most of their damage in the first period, scoring three goals on 11 shots, the third goal ending the evening of starting goaltender Travis Mclean. – Advertisement -The JDA Kings, specifically the NWJHL’s leading scorer Nolan Trudeau, would increase that deficit, scoring single goals in the second and third periods, finishing the game with four points, a hat trick and a single assist. The Huskies will have to forget about this loss quickly, as they are right back on home ice Sunday afternoon to conclude their regular season against the Sexsmith Vipers, a team the Huskies have yet to lose to this season. Sunday afternoon’s game will be a post season appetizer, as win or lose, the Huskies will meet Sexsmith in the first round of the playoffs. The post season begins this Wednesday, Feb.15 at 8 p.m. at the North Peace Arena and Sunday afternoon’s game will begin at 2 p.m.  Advertisementlast_img read more
